Kita Villa Kunterbunt
In 2015, I met the person in Herford at the Gänsemarkt, without whom the furnishing style of the daycare centres in the district of Herford - both outdoors and indoors - would be rather classic and not very child-friendly.
The district manager of the DRK Herford, Ralf Hoffmann, surprised me right from the start with his openness, trust, flexibility and seemingly endless wealth of ideas for colour design and its combination with deliberately chosen play equipment in terms of colour, form and functionality. What particularly impressed me was his deliberate approach and his focus on providing something special, visually and functionally stimulating for the children in the daycare centres. So that parents, children and also the caretakers and the kindergarten management like to come to an atmospherically pleasant place, which they look forward to.
The implementation of the artistic design of the daycare centres, starting with Villa Sonnenschein 2016, Der Kita "Ottelau" 2018 and finally the Kita Kunterbunt, went flawlessly from the initial planning to the last brushstroke and really put us in a good mood. Last but not least, I would also like to thank the dedicated and friendly staff and the management of the individual daycare centres. Thematically, each day care centre had its own subject. From maritime beach landscapes with seagulls and ships in the "Villa Sonnenschein" or rural depictions in the "Ottelau" day care centre to meadow motifs with airplanes and hot-air balloons in the "Kita-Kunterbunt". All three institutions had only one thing in common: Each of the daycare centres was provided with an open sky and a wreath of clouds. All in all, all the designs were to convey openness, joie de vivre and a positive atmosphere, which we succeeded in doing!
