DEO Kairo / MURAL
Description
"Interest from knowledge from interest!"
Following the successful corridor design of the new upper school building of DEO Cairo, the task was to provide a large and bare wall in the entrance area of the upper school building with an appealing design and school-relevant content.
The design here no longer had the claim to use the orange tone predominantly intended for the upper school building, but should be contemporary, colorful, rich in contrast, inspiring and essentially appealing to students.
Starting from the basic idea that learning is a natural ability of man and is based on curiosity and interest, the dadaistic title "Interest from knowledge from interest!" by Manfred Hinrich quickly became apparent to us as very appropriate.
As he clearly points out that curiosity and interest in new things is at the core of every human development of consciousness.
As a young person striving for experience in a school setting, a protected space like DEO Cairo is very important to find and balance yourself and your strengths and abilities, to combine and understand things.
The overall composition of the image is designed to achieve a spatial effect, through the clear and colorful design arouses positive emotions, inspires the viewer and makes him think.
